**Inspired by the Four Questions of Passover**
- At all other Audiology practices, diagnostics include octaves between 250Hz-8000Hz, with some testing of inter-octave pitches (if we’re lucky). At New York Speech and Hearing, the diagnostics always include every inter-octave between and including 250Hz – 8000Hz, with the capability to measure hearing up to 20,000Hz on occasion. This offers the most precise measure of your hearing.
- At all other Audiology practices, hearing aid fittings consist of a dispense and follow-up appointments for adjustments. At New York Speech and Hearing, a hearing aid fitting consists of a dispense, follow-up programming adjustments completed by a certified sound engineer, and a full course of Aural Rehabilitation exercise treatments to retrain the brain to identify sounds and be able to best understand speech. The combination of Aural Rehabilitation with appropriate technological adjustments make for the best hearing result.
- At all other Audiology practices, hearing protection devices/earmolds are fit to protect the individual from loud sounds. At New York Speech and Hearing, the right hearing protection device/earmold is chosen based on need and use, with a special consideration given to functional need. At New York Speech and Hearing, we are musicians who are exposed to loud noise/music regularly – so we understand the need to protect hearing versus the need to hear. At New York Speech and Hearing, we choose the right earmold for the situation.
- At all other Audiology practices, In Ear Monitors have to be ordered before checking their respective sound. At New York Speech and Hearing, we have demos of all In Ear Monitors, from all the big vendors. You can listen to the sound of the monitor before making a decision!
At New York Speech and Hearing, our Hearing Healthcare services are always designed to liberate our friends from the sanctions placed by hearing loss and communication impairment.
